How a scan works
For a skin scan, frame your face in the oval and take a selfie in good, even light. Kaya sends the photo to OpenAI for the cosmetic analysis, returns a score plus a short summary, and discards the photo. For a product scan, take a clear photo of the front of the product or paste a link, and Kaya researches the published ingredient list to score the fit.
Subscription & trial
Kaya Pro unlocks new scans, the routine optimizer, and product scans. New subscribers get a 3-day free trial. The subscription is handled entirely by Apple and auto-renews until you cancel.
To manage or cancel: open Settings on your iPhone → tap your name at the top → Subscriptions → Kaya Pro. Apple stops the renewal immediately and access stays active until the end of the current period.
Restore purchases
If you re-installed Kaya or moved to a new device, open Profile → Restore purchases. Make sure you are signed in to the same Apple ID that bought the subscription.
Limits
- Skin scans: 2 per day (one check-in plus a redo if needed).
- Product scans: 20 per month — the web research per product is the costly part for us.
- Routine optimizations: 3 per day.
Limits reset at midnight (daily) or at the start of each calendar month, on your device’s local time.
Deleting your data
Kaya stores almost everything on your iPhone. Profile → Reset onboarding clears your scans, routine, products, and daily logs on the device. Deleting the app removes the rest. If you used iCloud sync, also delete the Kaya data in your iCloud settings.
Privacy
Photos are never stored by us — only the scores. See the privacy policy for the full picture.
